Galactika, the toilet seat.

This is the (apparently) famous, Galactika Luminous toilet seat. It features LEDs embedded inside of the plastic seat. I must say that I am impressed most with the wonderful translations found on the website. Seriously check it out.

Nudibranchs, the aliens of the sea.

Nudibranchs are basically sea snails that are born with shells but lose them during metamorphasis. Thise wacky Australians, one in particular named Gary, has been documenting and studying these brightly colored strange little creatures. His website can explain what they are in detail. Fascinating.

How adorable is this, it looks like a headless sheep. This is the Mr. Wooly Stool, and it is pretty expensive but it somes in two different colors, white and black. Wouldn't this be great to help fulfill that Austrian Sheep Herding Fantasy you have, with a room brimming with headless white sheep with one black one. Adorable.

The Slanket, the blanket with sleeves.

Why didnt someone come up with this before, this is a brilliant product. This is a blanket that has sleeves that you stick your arms through so you can do things like changing the channel with the remote or typing on your laptop without getting your feet cold while struggling with adjusting the blanket. And at $64.95 you can sign me up for one.

Ahn'Qiraj War Effort Numbers.

Some very interesting stuff going on in WoW, especially in patch 1.9, in this patch there is a War Effort to open the gates of Ahn-Qiraj. This war effort calls for all of the members of either side and sometimes both sides to come together to gather the following substantial amounts of supplies in order for the gates to open.

Want to know what the various items to turn in for Ahn'Qiraj are? Predictably, prices for these items are rapidly rising in the AH. The first time you turn something in, you obtain ten commendation signets that can be turned in for a reputation boost as well as a Ahn'Qiraj War Effort Supplies crate that typically contains a scroll and a green/blue item; subsequent turnins only net one commendation signet and one supply crate. Ten commendation signets net a 75 point reputation bonus, which means you could net a 1125 reputation bonus just for turning in one of each!

Alliance and Horde have different turnin items and quantites.

Well apparently the world of modern acedemia has stumbled headlong into the arena of the psychology behind character creation and race roles in mmorpgs. Their current article up at Terra Nova (an intellectual place. no sarcasm.) raises the questions that raise questions about the person/persona of someone who would choose to be an "evil" race, is it to avoid the sucrose laden panderings of the alliance quest for the "light" or is it the possiility of truly nefarious intentions of those who roll undead warlocks. A colder way to say you're over them.

So this is apparently the must have gift for the holiday season, for those of you who just dont have the integrity to end a relationship like a responsible adult.

The kit contains traces of an imaginary affair. These are tools and probes which leave traces on the body such as bite-marks, carpet-burns or bondage marks. It also contains probes which can be left on either body or clothes, such as perfume, hairs and lipstick.

My thought is this, wouldn't it just be easier to HAVE an affair. Oh yea... the moral implications, like intentionally lying and deceiving someone are so much better or different. I think that this is only slightly more subtle than bitch slapping someone across the face with a used condom. Oh well, enjoy.

Ice Shots

The only real requirement, for being able to make these interesting if not ephemeral drinking vessels, is the ability to fill a container with a liquid, and access to a freezer. I just worry about "friends" who would use personal fluids to make "pee slushies" or the more devious "Chlorox vodka shots" but really are those the people you want to be drinking with anyway? No. These could be cool in the right hands.
