My Mini City
Please come visit my city, the more people who visit it the more the population grows. Utterly pointless but really quite fun.

Best Buy Improv Everywhere
Holy Crap. I think that this is genius. I smiled really hard while reading this. I hope that they have these all over the country. Basically they send 80 people into Best Buy wearing blue polo shirts and khaki pants and told them to be polite to customers. Awesome.

I also liked the 111 men with no shirts in Ambercrombie.

Optimus Tactus
Seriously, if Optimus ever actually creates one of their AMAZING keyboard designs, they will make tons of money. Lets just hope that this "vaporware" shows up sometime. Check it out and then spend about 10 minutes daydreaming about the possibilities of this type of input device.

VideoTrace. Unbelievable 3D tool.
This is phenomenal, I love it when tools just seem to do the impossible. As a 3D artist I want to know how complex the keyboard shortcuts are that he is using as well as what the process is for texturing and wrapping the models after they are made. I think that this technology looks fantastic, however the models of the SUV that were used for the wrecking ball drop were far more intricately modeled than the "simple" tutorial showed. Consider me impressed but skeptical until I can get a hands on.

Steampunk Superheroes.
These are beautiful action figures created around the comic book Gotham by Gaslight. I never thought that I would say this but I think that Aquaman is my favorite.

Machine Animals.
Nantes, France is hosting an exhibition of mechanical sculptures by François Delarozière and Pierre Orefice. Each sculpture is also a moving vehicle. Besides this 11-meter tall elephant, see the giant squid, deep-sea fish, and more. I loved the "Sewn Cars". Genius.

In another stunning combination of vintage and modern here is the functioning tube amp/charger for the iPod. Beautiful and pricey, but wow would it look great on my desk.

The Photography of Terry Skarbakka.
This image is from the series called "The Struggle to Right Oneself" beautiful and fluid if not a bit disturbing.
